ISRAEL'S PRIME MINISTER'S HISTORIC SPEECH TO THE UNITED NATIONS

Israel is our closest and most valuable ally in the Middle East. It has an extraordinary history of success and a future that will be even brighter.

Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech to the UN Assembly actually drew applause, something unprecedented for Israel and perhaps a precursor of what the Prime Minister predicted in his remarks. What follows is the video and transcript in full of his speech and a link to an analysis of the records of Netanyahu and Obama over these past years.

Remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the 71st sessions of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, September 22, 2016.

Mr. President,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

What I’m about to say is going to shock you: Israel has a bright future at the UN.
Now I know that hearing that from me must surely come as a surprise, because year after year I’ve stood at this very podium and slammed the UN for its obsessive bias against Israel. And the UN deserved every scathing word – for the disgrace of the General Assembly that last year passed 20 resolutions against the democratic State of Israel and a grand total of three resolutions against all the other countries on the planet.

Israel – twenty; rest of the world – three.

And what about the joke called the UN Human Rights Council, which each year condemns Israel more than all the countries of the world combined. As women are being systematically raped, murdered, sold into slavery across the world, which is the only country that the UN’s Commission on Women chose to condemn this year? Yep, you guessed it – Israel. Israel. Israel where women fly fighter jets, lead major corporations, head universities, preside – twice – over the Supreme Court, and have served as Speaker of the Knesset and Prime Minister.

And this circus continues at UNESCO. UNESCO, the UN body charged with preserving world heritage. Now, this is hard to believe but UNESCO just denied the 4,000-year connection between the Jewish people and its holiest site, the Temple Mount. That’s just as absurd as denying the connection between the Great Wall of China and China.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The UN, begun as a moral force, has become a moral farce. So when it comes to Israel at the UN, you’d probably think nothing will ever change, right? Well think again. You see, everything will change and a lot sooner than you think. The change will happen in this hall, because back home, your governments are rapidly changing their attitudes towards Israel. And sooner or later, that’s going to change the way you vote on Israel at the UN.

The UN, begun as a moral force, has become a moral farce.

More and more nations in Asia, in Africa, in Latin America, more and more nations see Israel as a potent partner – a partner in fighting the terrorism of today, a partner in developing the technology of tomorrow.

Today Israel has diplomatic relations with over 160 countries. That’s nearly double the number that we had when I served here as Israel’s ambassador some 30 years ago. And those ties are getting broader and deeper every day. World leaders increasingly appreciate that Israel is a powerful country with one of the best intelligence services on earth. Because of our unmatched experience and proven capabilities in fighting terrorism, many of your governments seek our help in keeping your countries safe.

Many also seek to benefit from Israel’s ingenuity in agriculture, in health, in water, in cyber and in the fusion of big data, connectivity and artificial intelligence – that fusion that is changing our world in every way.

You might consider this: Israel leads the world in recycling wastewater. We recycle about 90% of our wastewater. Now, how remarkable is that? Well, given that the next country on the list only recycles about 20% of its wastewater, Israel is a global water power. So if you have a thirsty world, and we do, there’s no better ally than Israel.

How about cybersecurity? That’s an issue that affects everyone. Israel accounts for one-tenth of one percent of the world’s population, yet last year we attracted some 20% of the global private investment in cybersecurity. I want you to digest that number. In cyber, Israel is punching a whopping 200 times above its weight. So Israel is also a global cyber power. If hackers are targeting your banks, your planes, your power grids and just about everything else, Israel can offer indispensable help.

Governments are changing their attitudes towards Israel because they know that Israel can help them protect their peoples, can help them feed them, can help them better their lives.

Governments are changing their attitudes towards Israel because they know that Israel can help them protect their peoples, can help them feed them, can help them better their lives.

This summer I had an unbelievable opportunity to see this change so vividly during an unforgettable visit to four African countries. This is the first visit to Africa by an Israeli prime minister in decades. Later today, I’ll be meeting with leaders from 17 African countries. We’ll discuss how Israeli technology can help them in their efforts to transform their countries.

In Africa, things are changing. In China, India, Russia, Japan, attitudes towards Israel have changed as well. These powerful nations know that, despite Israel’s small size, it can make a big difference in many, many areas that are important to them.

But now I’m going to surprise you even more. You see, the biggest change in attitudes towards Israel is taking place elsewhere. It’s taking place in the Arab world. Our peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan continue to be anchors of stability in the volatile Middle East. But I have to tell you this: For the first time in my lifetime, many other states in the region recognize that Israel is not their enemy. They recognize that Israel is their ally. Our common enemies are Iran and ISIS. Our common goals are security, prosperity and peace. I believe that in the years ahead we will work together to achieve these goals, work together openly.

So Israel’s diplomatic relations are undergoing nothing less than a revolution. But in this revolution, we never forget that our most cherished alliance, our deepest friendship is with the United States of America, the most powerful and the most generous nation on earth. Our unbreakable bond with the United States of America transcends parties and politics. It reflects, above all else, the overwhelming support for Israel among the American people, support which is at record highs and for which we are deeply grateful.

I believe the day is not far off when Israel will be able to rely on many, many countries to stand with us at the UN. Slowly but surely, the days when UN ambassadors reflexively condemn Israel, those days are coming to an end.

The United Nations denounces Israel; the United States supports Israel. And a central pillar of that defense has been America’s consistent support for Israel at the UN. I appreciate President Obama’s commitment to that longstanding US policy. In fact, the only time that the United States cast a UN Security Council veto during the Obama presidency was against an anti-Israel resolution in 2011. As President Obama rightly declared at this podium, peace will not come from statements and resolutions at the United Nations.

I believe the day is not far off when Israel will be able to rely on many, many countries to stand with us at the UN. Slowly but surely, the days when UN ambassadors reflexively condemn Israel, those days are coming to an end.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today’s automatic majority against Israel at the UN reminds me of the story, the incredible story of Hiroo Onada. Hiroo was a Japanese soldier who was sent to the Philippines in 1944. He lived in the jungle. He scavenged for food. He evaded capture. Eventually he surrendered, but that didn’t happen until 1974, some 30 years after World War II ended. For decades, Hiroo refused to believe the war was over. As Hiroo was hiding in the jungle, Japanese tourists were swimming in pools in American luxury hotels in nearby Manila. Finally, mercifully, Hiroo’s former commanding officer was sent to persuade him to come out of hiding. Only then did Hiroo lay down his arms.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Distinguished delegates from so many lands,

I have one message for you today: Lay down your arms. The war against Israel at the UN is over. Perhaps some of you don’t know it yet, but I am confident that one day in the not too distant future you will also get the message from your president or from your prime minister informing you that the war against Israel at the United Nations has ended. Yes, I know, there might be a storm before the calm. I know there is talk about ganging up on Israel at the UN later this year. Given its history of hostility towards Israel, does anyone really believe that Israel will let the UN determine our security and our vital national interests?

We will not accept any attempt by the UN to dictate terms to Israel. The road to peace runs through Jerusalem and Ramallah, not through New York.

But regardless of what happens in the months ahead, I have total confidence that in the years ahead the revolution in Israel’s standing among the nations will finally penetrate this hall of nations. I have so much confidence, in fact, that I predict that a decade from now an Israeli prime minister will stand right here where I am standing and actually applaud the UN. But I want to ask you: Why do we have to wait a decade? Why keep vilifying Israel? Perhaps because some of you don’t appreciate that the obsessive bias against Israel is not just a problem for my country, it’s a problem for your countries too. Because if the UN spends so much time condemning the only liberal democracy in the Middle East, it has far less time to address war, disease, poverty, climate change and all the other serious problems that plague the planet.

Are the half million slaughtered Syrians helped by your condemnation of Israel? The same Israel that has treated thousands of injured Syrians in our hospitals, including a field hospital that I built right along the Golan Heights border with Syria. Are the gays hanging from cranes in Iran helped by your denigration of Israel? That same Israel where gays march proudly in our streets and serve in our parliament, including I’m proud to say in my own Likud party. Are the starving children in North Korea’s brutal tyranny, are they helped by your demonization of Israel? Israel, whose agricultural knowhow is feeding the hungry throughout the developing world?

The sooner the UN’s obsession with Israel ends, the better. The better for Israel, the better for your countries, the better for the UN itself.

The sooner the UN’s obsession with Israel ends, the better. The better for Israel, the better for your countries, the better for the UN itself.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

If UN habits die hard, Palestinian habits die even harder. President Abbas just attacked from this podium the Balfour Declaration. He’s preparing a lawsuit against Britain for that declaration from 1917. That’s almost 100 years ago – talk about being stuck in the past. The Palestinians may just as well sue Iran for the Cyrus Declaration, which enabled the Jews to rebuild our Temple in Jerusalem 2,500 years ago. Come to think of it, why not a Palestinian class action suit against Abraham for buying that plot of land in Hebron where the fathers and mothers of the Jewish people were buried 4,000 years ago?

You’re not laughing. It’s as absurd as that. To sue the British government for the Balfour Declaration? Is he kidding? And this is taken seriously here?

President Abbas attacked the Balfour Declaration because it recognized the right of the Jewish people to a national home in the land of Israel. When the United Nations supported the establishment of a Jewish state in 1947, it recognized our historical and our moral rights in our homeland and to our homeland. Yet today, nearly 70 years later, the Palestinians still refuse to recognize those rights – not our right to a homeland, not our right to a state, not our right to anything. And this remains the true core of the conflict, the persistent Palestinian refusal to recognize the Jewish state in any boundary. You see, this conflict is not about the settlements. It never was.

The conflict raged for decades before there was a single settlement, when Judea Samaria and Gaza were all in Arab hands. The West Bank and Gaza were in Arab hands and they attacked us again and again and again. And when we uprooted all 21 settlements in Gaza and withdrew from every last inch of Gaza, we didn’t get peace from Gaza – we got thousands of rockets fired at us from Gaza.

This conflict rages because for the Palestinians, the real settlements they’re after are Haifa, Jaffa and Tel Aviv.

The issue of settlements is a real one and it can and must be resolved in final status negotiations.

Now mind you, the issue of settlements is a real one and it can and must be resolved in final status negotiations. But this conflict has never been about the settlements or about establishing a Palestinian state. It’s always been about the existence of a Jewish state, a Jewish state in any boundary.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Israel is ready, I am ready to negotiate all final status issues but one thing I will never negotiate: Our right to the one and only Jewish state.

Wow, sustained applause for the Prime Minister of Israel in the General Assembly? The change may be coming sooner than I thought.

Had the Palestinians said yes to a Jewish state in 1947, there would have been no war, no refugees and no conflict. And when the Palestinians finally say yes to a Jewish state, we will be able to end this conflict once and for all.

Now here’s the tragedy, because, see, the Palestinians are not only trapped in the past, their leaders are poisoning the future.

I want you to imagine a day in the life of a 13-year-old Palestinian boy, I’ll call him Ali. Ali wakes up before school, he goes to practice with a soccer team named after Dalal Mughrabi, a Palestinian terrorist responsible for the murder of a busload of 37 Israelis. At school, Ali attends an event sponsored by the Palestinian Ministry of Education honoring Baha Alyan, who last year murdered three Israeli civilians. On his walk home, Ali looks up at a towering statue erected just a few weeks ago by the Palestinian Authority to honor Abu Sukar, who detonated a bomb in the center of Jerusalem, killing 15 Israelis.

When Ali gets home, he turns on the TV and sees an interview with a senior Palestinian official, Jibril Rajoub, who says that if he had a nuclear bomb, he’d detonate it over Israel that very day. Ali then turns on the radio and he hears President Abbas’s adviser, Sultan Abu al-Einein, urging Palestinians, here’s a quote, “to slit the throats of Israelis wherever you find them.” Ali checks his Facebook and he sees a recent post by President Abbas’s Fatah Party calling the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics a “heroic act”. On YouTube, Ali watches a clip of President Abbas himself saying, “We welcome every drop of blood spilled in Jerusalem.” Direct quote.

Over dinner, Ali asks his mother what would happen if he killed a Jew and went to an Israeli prison? Here’s what she tells him. She tells him he’d be paid thousands of dollars each month by the Palestinian Authority. In fact, she tells him, the more Jews he would kill, the more money he’d get. Oh, and when he gets out of prison, Ali would be guaranteed a job with the Palestinian Authority.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

All this is real. It happens every day, all the time. Sadly, Ali represents hundreds of thousands of Palestinian children who are indoctrinated with hate every moment, every hour.

This is child abuse.

Imagine your child undergoing this brainwashing. Imagine what it takes for a young boy or girl to break free out of this culture of hate. Some do but far too many don’t. How can any of us expect young Palestinians to support peace when their leaders poison their minds against peace?

How can any of us expect young Palestinians to support peace when their leaders poison their minds against peace?

We in Israel don’t do this. We educate our children for peace. In fact, we recently launched a pilot program, my government did, to make the study of Arabic mandatory for Jewish children so that we can better understand each other, so that we can live together side-by-side in peace.

Of course, like all societies Israel has fringe elements. But it’s our response to those fringe elements, it’s our response to those fringe elements that makes all the difference.

Take the tragic case of Ahmed Dawabsha. I’ll never forget visiting Ahmed in the hospital just hours after he was attacked. A little boy, really a baby, he was badly burned. Ahmed was the victim of a horrible terrorist act perpetrated by Jews. He lay bandaged and unconscious as Israeli doctors worked around the clock to save him.

No words can bring comfort to this boy or to his family. Still, as I stood by his bedside I told his uncle, “This is not our people. This is not our way.” I then ordered extraordinary measures to bring Ahmed’s assailants to justice and today the Jewish citizens of Israel accused of attacking the Dawabsha family are in jail awaiting trial.

Now, for some, this story shows that both sides have their extremists and both sides are equally responsible for this seemingly endless conflict.

But what Ahmed’s story actually proves is the very opposite. It illustrates the profound difference between our two societies, because while Israeli leaders condemn terrorists, all terrorists, Arabs and Jews alike, Palestinian leaders celebrate terrorists. While Israel jails the handful of Jewish terrorists among us, the Palestinians pay thousands of terrorists among them.

So I call on President Abbas: you have a choice to make. You can continue to stoke hatred as you did today or you can finally confront hatred and work with me to establish peace between our two peoples.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I hear the buzz. I know that many of you have given up on peace. But I want you to know – I have not given up on peace. I remain committed to a vision of peace based on two states for two peoples. I believe as never before that changes taking place in the Arab world today offer a unique opportunity to advance that peace.

I commend President el-Sissi of Egypt for his efforts to advance peace and stability in our region. Israel welcomes the spirit of the Arab peace initiative and welcomes a dialogue with Arab states to advance a broader peace. I believe that for that broader peace to be fully achieved the Palestinians have to be part of it. I’m ready to begin negotiations to achieve this today – not tomorrow, not next week, today.

President Abbas spoke here an hour ago. Wouldn’t it be better if instead of speaking past each other we were speaking to one another? President Abbas, instead of railing against Israel at the United Nations in New York, I invite you to speak to the Israeli people at the Knesset in Jerusalem. And I would gladly come to speak to the Palestinian parliament in Ramallah.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

While Israel seeks peace with all our neighbors, we also know that peace has no greater enemy than the forces of militant Islam. The bloody trail of this fanaticism runs through all the continents represented here. It runs through Paris and Nice, Brussels and Baghdad, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Minnesota and New York, from Sydney to San Bernardino. So many have suffered its savagery: Christian and Jews, women and gays, Yazidis and Kurds and many, many others.

Yet the heaviest price, the heaviest price of all has been paid by innocent Muslims. Hundreds of thousands unmercifully slaughtered. Millions turned into desperate refugees, tens of millions brutally subjugated. The defeat of militant Islam will thus be a victory for all humanity, but it would especially be a victory for those many Muslims who seek a life without fear, a life of peace, a life of hope.

But to defeat the forces of militant Islam, we must fight them relentlessly. We must fight them in the real world. We must fight them in the virtual world. We must dismantle their networks, disrupt their funding, discredit their ideology. We can defeat them and we will defeat them. Medievalism is no match for modernity. Hope is stronger than hate, freedom mightier than fear.

We can do this.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Israel fights this fateful battle against the forces of militant Islam every day. We keep our borders safe from ISIS, we prevent the smuggling of game-changing weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon, we thwart Palestinian terror attacks in Judea and Samaria, the West Bank, and we deter missile attacks from Hamas-controlled Gaza.

That’s the same Hamas terror organization that cruelly, unbelievably cruelly refuses to return three of our citizens and the bodies of our fallen soldiers, Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin. Hadar Goldin’s parents, Leah and Simcha Goldin, are here with us today. They have one request – to bury their beloved son in Israel. All they ask for is one simple thing – to be able to visit the grave of their fallen son Hadar in Israel. Hamas refuses. They couldn’t care less.

I implore you to stand with them, with us, with all that’s decent in our world against the inhumanity of Hamas – all that is indecent and barbaric. Hamas breaks every humanitarian rule in the book, throw the book at them.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The greatest threat to my country, to our region, and ultimately to our world remains the militant Islamic regime of Iran.

The greatest threat to my country, to our region, and ultimately to our world remains the militant Islamic regime of Iran. Iran openly seeks Israel’s annihilation. It threatens countries across the Middle East, it sponsors terror worldwide.

This year, Iran has fired ballistic missiles in direct defiance of Security Council Resolutions. It has expended its aggression in Iraq, in Syria, in Yemen. Iran, the world’s foremost sponsor of terrorism continued to build its global terror network. That terror network now spans five continents.

So my point to you is this: The threat Iran poses to all of us is not behind us, it’s before us. In the coming years, there must be a sustained and united effort to push back against Iran’s aggression and Iran’s terror. With the nuclear constraints on Iran one year closer to being removed, let me be clear: Israel will not allow the terrorist regime in Iran to develop nuclear weapons – not now, not in a decade, not ever.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I stand before you today at a time when Israel’s former president, Shimon Peres, is fighting for his life. Shimon is one of Israel’s founding fathers, one of its boldest statesmen, one of its most respected leaders. I know you will all join me and join all the people of Israel in wishing him refuah shlemah Shimon, a speedy recovery.

I’ve always admired Shimon’s boundless optimism, and like him, I too am filled with hope. I am filled with hope because Israel is capable of defending itself by itself against any threat. I am filled with hope because the valor of our fighting men and women is second to none. I am filled with hope because I know the forces of civilization will ultimately triumph over the forces of terror. I am filled with hope because in the age of innovation, Israel – the innovation nation – is thriving as never before. I am filled with hope because Israel works tirelessly to advance equality and opportunity for all its citizens: Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, everyone. And I am filled with hope because despite all the naysayers, I believe that in the years ahead, Israel will forge a lasting peace with all our neighbors.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am hopeful about what Israel can accomplish because I’ve seen what Israel has accomplished. In 1948, the year of Israel’s independence, our population was 800,000. Our main export was oranges. People said then we were too small, too weak, too isolated, too demographically outnumbered to survive, let alone thrive. The skeptics were wrong about Israel then; the skeptics are wrong about Israel now.

Israel’s population has grown tenfold, our economy fortyfold. Today our biggest export is technology – Israeli technology, which powers the world’s computers, cellphones, cars and so much more.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The future belongs to those who innovate and this is why the future belongs to countries like Israel. Israel wants to be your partner in seizing that future, so I call on all of you: Cooperate with Israel, embrace Israel, dream with Israel. Dream of the future that we can build together, a future of breathtaking progress, a future of security, prosperity and peace, a future of hope for all humanity, a future where even at the UN, even in this hall, Israel will finally, inevitably, take its rightful place among the nations.

Thank you.

How do Netanyahu and Obama compare in foreign policy?

A SHORT EXPLANATION OF ISLAM FROM ONE WHO KNOWS

Brigitte Gabriel, a Christian, grew up during the wars in Lebanon fomented by Muslims who wanted to override the Lebanese constitution to get more power. It was a terrible time which led her to emigrate to the United States.

Today she runs an organization -- Act for America -- to get the truth about Islam out to everyone. She has written two books about Islam and its goal of world supremacism and the methods used to achieve that end -- violence and deceit.

In ISIS and Boko Haram we see the violence as they seek to gain territory for Islam and rid the world of non-believers.

What we don't see as readily is the deceit, lying and trickery practiced by Muslims in lands where they don't have the muscle yet to employ violence to advance towards the goal of world dominance. Spokesmen of CAIR (Council for American-Islamic Relations) and the Muslim American Society are just some of those who show a false face and speak with forked tongue.

In the video set forth below an operative for one of such organizations poses a question to the panel which Brigitte Gabriel takes head on.

AMERICA STILL ASLEEP, 15 YEARS AFTER 9/11, AS ISLAMIC THREAT GROWS

FIFTEEN YEARS AFTER 9/11, AND AMERICA STILL SLEEPS

How much worse will the destruction and death have to be to wake us up?
September 9, 2016 Bruce Thornton
Bruce Thornton is a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

Fifteen years after the carnage of 9/11, American foreign policy is still mired in its fossilized dogmas and dangerous delusions. The consequences are obvious. Iran, the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism and long an avowed enemy of the United States, has filled the vacuum of our ignominious retreat from the Middle East, even as the mullahs move ever closer to possessing nuclear weapons. Russia, Iran’s improbable ally, bombs civilians in Syria, kills the Syrian fighters we have trained, bullies its neighbor Ukraine, consolidates its take-over of the Crimea, and relentlessly pursues its interests with disregard for international law and contempt for our feeble protests. Iraq, for which thousands of Americans bled and died, is now a puppet state of Iran. Afghanistan is poised to be overrun by the Taliban in a few years, and ISIS, al Qaeda 2.0, continues to inspire franchises throughout the world and to murder European and American citizens.

So much for the belief, frequently heard in the months after the attacks of 9/11, that “this changes everything.” The smoking ruins and 3000 dead surely had awoken us from our delusions that the “end of history” and a “new world order” had followed the collapse of the Soviet Union, “a world in which nations recognize the shared responsibility for freedom and justice. A world where the strong respect the rights of the weak,” as George H.W. Bush said in 1990. The following decade seemed to confirm this optimism. Didn’t we quickly slap down the brutal Saddam Hussein and stop his aggression against his neighbors? Didn’t we punish the Serbs for their revanchist depredations in the Balkans? With American military power providing the muscle, the institutions of international cooperation like NATO, the International Court of Justice, and the U.N. Security Council would patrol and protect the network of new democracies that were set to evolve into versions of Western nations and enjoy such boons as individual rights, political freedom, leisure and prosperity, tolerance for minorities, equality for women, and a benign secularism.

The gruesome mayhem of 9/11 should have alerted us to the fact many Muslims didn’t get the memo about history’s demise. Indeed, long before that tragic day in September, we had been serially warned that history still had some unpleasant surprises. Theorists of neo-jihadism like Hassan al-Banna and Sayyid Qutb for decades had laid out the case for war against the infidel West and its aggression against Islam. “It is the nature of Islam,” al-Banna wrote, “to dominate not to be dominated, to impose its laws on all nations and extend its power to the entire planet.” So too the leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, the Ayatollah Khomeini: “Those who study jihad will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world,” which is why “Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers.” The kidnapping of U.S. diplomatic personnel in Tehran by a group called “Muslim Students Following the Line of the Imam [Khomeini]” sent us a message that we were engaged in the religious war the jihadists warned would come. But few of those responsible for our security and interests had ears to hear or eyes to see.

Not even when the words became bloody deeds did we listen. The bombing of the Beirut Marine barracks in 1983, which killed 241 servicemen, was supported by Iran and executed by its proxy terrorist group Hezbollah. Our refusal to respond reflected our failure to take seriously Khomeini’s vow to spread his revolution to the whole world. The humiliating televised abuse of our dead soldiers in Mogadishu in 1993, followed by our withdrawal, was exploited by Osama bin Laden in his sermons as signs that America had “foundations of straw.” That same year came the first World Trade Center attack, which killed six and wounded 1,042, an operation inspired by al Qaeda and traditional jihadist doctrine. In 1995 five Americans were killed by al Qaeda operatives at a training facility in Riyadh. In 1996 a truck bomb exploded in front of a residential complex housing Air Force personnel near Dhahran, killing 19 Americans. In 1998 al Qaeda bombed our embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. Twelve Americans died in Nairobi. And the last warning came in October of 2000, when the destroyer Cole was attacked by a fishing boat loaded with explosive. Seventeen sailors died and 39 were wounded.

Yet during these two decades of attacks that proved the jihadists’ words were not just bluster, we did little in response. We interpreted the attacks as crimes, not battles in a war, and reflections of poverty, autocracy, or vague “evil,” rather than as the fulfillment of Allah’s divine commands. Instead, Clinton launched cruise missiles that made a lot of noise but accomplished nothing, limited as those attacks were by timid rules of engagement. His foreign policy was internationalist and idealist, seeing the spread of democracy and the promotion of human rights as paramount in foreign affairs. America’s presence needed to be reduced in the world, and the use of force should be a last resort, and even then carefully calibrated to avoid international condemnation and American casualties. “Dialogue” and “outreach” were preferable, for the jihadists were just defending “traditional values,” as one State Department official said. The wages of that delusion were the burned and dismembered bodies in Manhattan, the Pentagon, and a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

This history is worth reviewing, for all these mistakes, these failures of imagination, these indulgences of naïve idealism, these sacrifices of our security and interests to political advantage, all comprise the “everything” that 9/11 was supposed to “change.” But here we are, fifteen years later, with a similar history of folly. George W. Bush pursued a delusional program of democracy promotion in Iraq and Afghanistan, with scant appreciation for the profound cultural differences between Islam and the West. But he at least left his successor a stabilized Iraq, which Obama quickly abandoned just to fulfill a campaign promise and assert his progressive bona fides. Then Obama blustered that Syria’s “Assad has to go” and laid down “red lines” that were not to be crossed, only to do nothing when they were serially crossed, and to sacrifice this country’s credibility in his pursuit of the disastrous deal with Iran, our inveterate enemy stained with four decades’ worth of American blood. ISIS was allowed to flourish in the vacuum created by our withdrawal, creating a Hobbesian war of all against all, whose beneficiaries so far have been our rival Russia and our sworn enemy Iran.

Perhaps worst of all, Obama has turned jihad denial into a fatal disease. He is not alone in this delusion, for “religion of peace” and “nothing to do with Islam” have been mantras chanted by our foreign policy savants going back to the Iranian Revolution. No matter that al-Banna, Qutb, Khomeini, bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahiri, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and the mullahs in Iran all have grounded their violence and aggression in Islamic scripture and tradition. Our smug Western analysts and apologists dismiss the jihadists’ exegesis as a “hijacking” or “distortion” of the “true” Islam, presuming to understand the Islamic faith better than pious Muslims do. So we half-heartedly fight an enemy whose name we cannot even say, and whose religion of violence we desperately distort into a religion of peace and tolerance. Meanwhile, like Bill Clinton and now Obama, we use bombs and drones as telegenic marketing tools to hide our failure of nerve and short-sighted political calculations.

So fifteen years later, we still sleep. And don’t expect things to change after November. Neither candidate has shown any indication he or she is willing to make the hard decisions required to destroy ISIS and reaffirm American prestige. Trump issues vague threats about “bombing the shit” out of ISIS, while Hillary chatters about “smart power” and “coalitions,” doubling down on Obama’s failing policy. But no one proposes using the mind-concentrating levels of force, including troops as well as bombs, necessary to repair our broken foreign policy in the Middle East. Too many voters are in an isolationist mood, sick of wars and casualties, and concerned more about jobs and the economy.

The attacks on 9/11 supposedly “changed everything.” When it comes to foreign policy, they didn’t. One shudders to think how much worse the destruction and death will have to be to wake us up.

RETIRED U.S. ADMIRAL: ISLAM IS THE ENEMY WAGING WAR AGAINST US

In this three-minute video, retired Admiral James "Ace" Lyons expresses his exasperation about how we let opportunities to defeat Islamic threats go by during Democratic and Republican administrations going back to Carter. As a result, the Islamic threat has mushroomed to what we have today. As far as he's concerned, he accepts what Turkish president Erdogan says is the enemy, not "radical Islam," but Islam itself, no adjectives or modifiers needed. The admiral's judgment is that Islam is a political movement masquerading as a religion whose goal is world domination, plain and simple.

HOW THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD SUCCESSFULLY CRIPPLED OUR FIGHT AGAINST "CIVILIZATION JIHAD"

ASSISTING OUR OWN SUICIDE

Excerpted from Defeating Terrorism: How We Blinded Ourselves to the Threat of “Civilization Jihad”

“The Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial in 2008 should have been a wakeup call to the full scope of the Islamist threat. Through the discovery process associated with that trial, extensive primary source evidence was presented on Islamist front groups operating within the U.S. They were numerous, able to raise significant sums and were ideologically disciplined. One such front group founded by the Muslim Brotherhood, the Muslim Students Association (MSA) had grown from its first chapter in 1964 to about 120 chapters at the time of 9/11/2001. In spite of the 9/11 attack, by 2008 there was a tripling of the number of college and university MSA chapters across North America.

Contained within an internal Brotherhood document that was presented into evidence during the 2008 Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial, was the disclosure that the Muslim Brotherhood understood its main work in the U.S. as “civilization jihad”:

“The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and by the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

What is most astonishing about this coming as it did in the last year of the Bush Administration is that it had such little effect on Americans thinking and U.S. public policy. As it turned out, the ongoing disinformation, ideology, and influence of pro-Islamic individuals and front groups had more sway over changes to U.S. law enforcement, intelligence gathering, and military training and operations than did any of the primary source documents from Islamists that came out in the Holy Land Foundation trial.

While the Bush administration was pursuing the war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Muslim Brotherhood was pursuing “civilization jihad” in the United States. The 9/11 Commission Report published in 2004 contained hundreds of instances of
the use of words like “Jihad,” “Muslim,” and “Sharia.” Four years later, by 2008, with input and influence brought to bear from many sympathetic to and associated with Brotherhood affiliate organizations, all those words and terms were entirely eliminated from the FBI’s “Counter-terrorism Lexicon” publication, a key document informing other U.S. government agencies involved with intelligence and defense.

Consider that in the very next year, when self-described “soldier of Allah” Nidal Hassan killed 13 in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting spree, the Defense Department recorded the incident as “workplace violence”’ not an Islamist terrorist attack. In fact, the DOD bureaucracy had already chosen to purge West Point and the Naval War College training of all “vital references to Islamist ideology driving terrorism or
conflating terrorism with Islam.”

In 2011 the FBI extended its Counter-terrorism Lexicon agenda and systematically purged its counter-terrorism training manuals of some 900 pages that were considered offensive to Muslims. By 2012, the other areas of the Executive Branch, including DHS, DOJ and the State Department had eliminated all instructors and training curriculum that associated Islamic terms, doctrine, law, and Quranic scripture with terrorism. In addition, the NSA’s most sweeping digital communication surveillance program, known as PRISM, was revamped to exclude monitoring communication within and from Islamic mosques, rendering them virtual communication safe houses now numbering over 3,000 in the U.S.

Fast forward to June 2016. Just days before Omar Mateen committed his terrorist slaughter in the name of ISIS at an Orlando nightclub, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson’s Homeland Security Advisory Council made its “Countering Violent Extremism” recommendations, specifically instructing DHS personnel to once again avoid using any language that might be “disrespectful” to Muslims, including (but not limited to) the words “jihad,” “sharia” and “takfir.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How did all this happen? Were there already Muslims or Muslim sympathizers in key spots in the U.S. government who accepted these "suggestions"? Are they still there?
GEORGE SOROS AND BLACK LIVES MATTER ALLY WITH ISLAMISTS TO DESTROY PUBLIC LAW AND ORDER IN U.S.
Leftist organizations and Left ideologues such as George Soros have been working with Islamic interests for decades in seeking to undermine Christianity and Western Civilization. As part of that effort Soros is seeking to deligitimize those who are fighting against the "civilization jihad" being prosecuted in the U.S. by units of the Muslim Brotherhood as well as the influence of the Marxist left. A principal target is David Horowitz of the David Horowitz Freedom Center. Leading the campaign of deligitimization is the Center for American Progress led by John Podesta, a Clinton loyalist.
For a more expansive view of the Soros master plan, read this Caroline Glick report.
Following the Michael Brown riots in Ferguson, MO, the Islamist Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Saudi-funded propaganda group linked to the terrorist organization Hamas as well as Soros-funded groups, pledged its cooperation and solidarity with and support for the Marxist left subversive group Black Lives Matter. The common goal of CAIR and Black Lives Matter is disrupting and destroying the American social construct. (This is the same goal pursued by Saul Alinsky, whose goals, strategy and tactics influenced Chicago community organizer Barack Obama.)
What comes once victory over the Constitution has been achieved, eithe, a Marxist state or Islamic law, Sharia, will be worked or fought out then.
Robert Spencer details the threat to society this combination represents.
FIGHT BACK AGAINST ISLAM: DRIVE THE ENABLING POLITICIANS OUT OF OFFICE
Eject Western Traitors, Beat Islamic Terrorists
July 26, 2016 by Raymond Ibrahim
Muslims around the world—especially in Europe where their numbers have burgeoned in recent times—are wreaking havoc.
priest_victim_NORMANDY.jpg
Jacques Hamel: Latest martyr of the Western-empowered jihad
The newest atrocity—assuming another one hasn’t already occurred since this writing—is the barbaric slaughter of an 85-year-old Christian priest in France. Yesterday (7/26) morning, “Allahu Akbar” shouting Muslims stormed his church in Rouen while the octogenarian priest, Jacques Hamel, was conducting morning Mass. They forced him on his knees, slit his throat, and “critically injured” a nun, before being killed by police—the same police who had known that church was being targeted and had been monitoring one of the murderers for at least one-and-a-half years.
Days earlier in France and Germany, Muslims, mostly migrants, committed terrorist acts in Nice (84 dead), Munich (9 dead), attacked people in train stations (one dead, several injured), killed a pregnant Polish woman, and attacked a mother and her three adolescent daughters (puncturing the lungs of an 8-year-old).
Those who seek to reverse this situation must begin by embracing a simple fact: Islam is not terrorizing the West because it can but because it is being allowed to.
To be sure, that was not always the case: for over a millennium, Muslims repeatedly invaded and conquered portions of Europe—terrorizing, massacring, raping and enslaving in the name of Allah—and were only repulsed by great force of arms.
Indeed, invading and destroying churches, slaughtering priests, even raping nuns is as old as Islam’s first entry into Christian territory in the seventh century, and has played out countless times since. (Watch this brief video for an idea of how many jihadi campaigns were undertaken against Europe.)
Today, Muslim terrorists, rapists, and criminals are not entering the West against its will but because of it.
Consider it by analogy. What if zoologists began to maintain that it’s false to say that lions naturally prey on zebras? So zoo directors—most of whom come from the ranks of the zoologists—start introducing lions into zebra enclosures. The inevitable happens: although well fed, lions continue doing what they’ve always done—chase and kill zebras. Yet, because it is a slanderous stereotype to say that lions by nature prey on zebras, the zoologists continue insisting on placing the two together.
Surely only a great fool would blame the slaughter of zebras on lions—who, after all, are merely being lions—while ignoring those who place lions with zebras in the first place?
This is the situation we are in. The powers-that-be maintain that it’s false to say that Muslims prey on non-Muslims, or “infidels.” So the policymakers—most of whom come from the ranks of the powers-that-be—introduced Muslims into Europe. The inevitable happened: although given equal rights, Muslims continued doing what they’ve always done—persecute and kill infidels. Yet, because it is a “slanderous stereotype” to say that Muslims by nature prey on infidels, the powers-that-be continue insisting on placing the two together—in the name of “diversity.”[1]
Nor does it matter that not all Muslims harbor animus for “infidels” or are prone to outbursts of violence. Even if only 1% of a beverage is poisoned and you ingest it, will it matter that 99% of it was clean? No, you will still suffer, possibly die. The only sure way to preserve your health is not to put it into your body in the first place.
Whether they are intentional liars with a nefarious agenda, or whether they are incompetent, indoctrinated fools, no longer matters: Western policymakers who insist that Islam is peaceful (despite all evidence otherwise) and that the West is “obligated” to receive Muslim migrants, are 100% responsible for the daily victims of jihad, most recently an octogenarian priest.
The war begins with them. Kick them and their suicidal policies out, and watch Islamic terror on Western soil fizzle out.
ROBERT SPENCER, JIHAD WATCH: CIVIL WAR WILL BREAK OUT IN EUROPE
Robert Spenser is one of the world's foremost scholars warning of the threat of Islam to the West. That Fox Business News invited him on to discuss the wave of terrorist attacks in Germany is a major advance for increasing media awareness. The mainstream media, like Obama and his entire administration, are hiding the truth about Islam being at war with the West, as it has been since its founding as a military movement 1400 years ago. Mohammad was the first general of the Islamic army and his followers today have the same aim as he had: to conquer the world for Islam's prophet Mohammad.
Stuart Varney, one of the most informed hosts in the entire Fox network, conducted the 3-minute interview.
SYRIAN POET CALLS FOR RELIGION OF ISLAM TO BE SEPARATED FROM STATE
It is amazing this Arab poet has not been killed yet.
Mohammad didn't like poets who criticized him, be they male or female.
He had them assassinated.
The poet called Adonis has been making the case that Arabs or Arab civilization will die out if there is no reform. Arabs destroy. They build nothing. They contribute nothing to the world.
Read his words in the link below.
'Islam Can't Be Modernised' Says World's 'Greatest Arabic Poet' Adonis.pdf
He is a brave man. He recently appeared in a discussion group and said that unless state and religion are separated, Islam will die out.
His is a lonely voice. For a Muslim to speak out against Islam is to risk death. Criticizing Islam qualifies for apostasy, so any Muslim, no court required, can kill you.
Islam doesn't have a pope, no central voice of authority. There are many who may be selling the same message, but they are not necessarily coordinated or speak the same.
The Saudis have made their 7th Century Islam of Wahhabism mainstream in the Muslim world today -- and in the non-Muslim world -- spending hundreds of billions for mosques, schools, Islamic cultural centers, imams, Islam teaching materials and public relations outfits like CAIR (Council of American Islamic Relations) in the United States.
The Saudis have bred ISIS, but now fear it as it calls out the royal family as unworthy guardians of the holy places. Awkward, to say the least. Hypocrites, they say, They live and party in the West and don the hijabs and abayas as the planes land in Riyadh.
A new generation is coming of age in Saudi Arabia. The king has given great power to his son Mohammad bin Salman, a man in his early 30s. Will a rapprochement with Western civilization result?
The Islamic Society of Boston was one of the first established by the world's leading Islamic strategist Yusuf al-Qaradawi. It has spawned a number of Islamic terrorists, most famously the Tsarnaev brothers.
MARK STEYN ON ORLANDO MASSACRE: "PARTY AT THE END OF THE WORLD"
Mark Steyn has been warning about the threat of Islam for more than ten years, hoping his words and those of others would wake up the citizens of the West to the eating away of their civilization and their way of life that was already underway.
But, no, people prefer the illusions peddled by Obama (and before him Bush) that Islam is a "Religion of Peace" and there is nothing to worry about.
Obama as recently as yesterday is still marketing that illusion by issuing partial transcripts of the words of the Orlando murderer to the police erasing mentions of Allah and his pledge to the Islamic State.
There are consequences of facing up to the hard facts of reality, so instead, "Let's Keep Dancing."
Mark Steyn filled in for Rush Limbaugh (as he often does) a day or two after the Orlando massacre and in nine minutes captured the meaning of it all in a way that every adult man and woman in the United States (and Europe) should hear and heed:
DONALD TRUMP CONDEMNS RADICAL ISLAMIC ATTACK IN ORLANDO
DONALD J. TRUMP STATEMENT REGARDING TERRORIST ATTACK IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA
Last night, our nation was attacked by a radical Islamic terrorist. It was the worst terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11, and the second of its kind in 6 months. My deepest sympathy and support goes out to the victims, the wounded, and their families.
In his remarks today, President Obama disgracefully refused to even say the words 'Radical Islam'. For that reason alone, he should step down. If Hillary Clinton, after this attack, still cannot say the two words 'Radical Islam' she should get out of this race for the Presidency.
If we do not get tough and smart real fast, we are not going to have a country anymore. Because our leaders are weak, I said this was going to happen – and it is only going to get worse. I am trying to save lives and prevent the next terrorist attack. We can't afford to be politically correct anymore.
The terrorist, Omar Mir Saddique Mateen, is the son of an immigrant from Afghanistan who openly published his support for the Afghanistani Taliban and even tried to run for President of Afghanistan. According to Pew, 99% of people in Afghanistan support oppressive Sharia Law.
We admit more than 100,000 lifetime migrants from the Middle East each year. Since 9/11, hundreds of migrants and their children have been implicated in terrorism in the United States.
Hillary Clinton wants to dramatically increase admissions from the Middle East, bringing in many hundreds of thousands during a first term – and we will have no way to screen them, pay for them, or prevent the second generation from radicalizing.
We need to protect all Americans, of all backgrounds and all beliefs, from Radical Islamic Terrorism - which has no place in an open and tolerant society. Radical Islam advocates hate for women, gays, Jews, Christians and all Americans.
I am going to be a President for all Americans, and I am going to protect and defend all Americans. We are going to make America safe again and great again for everyone.
- Donald J. Trump
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ORLANDO MASSACRE?
ISIS and other Islamic organizations have urged believing Muslims to attack non-believers during the month of Ramadan (June 6-July 6). It happened in Orlando.
Islamic State claims responsibility for Orlando shooting
By ROBERT KING • 6/12/16 2:40 PM
Washington Examiner
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the worst shooting in U.S. history.
A report from AMAQ, a news organization tied to the Islamic State, said the terrorist group took responsibility for the shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando that left at least 50 people dead and 53 hospitalized.
Security guards were not armed and no one among the 350 attending the event had a weapon. No one was able to fight back against the killer during the three hour attack.
The Amaq attributed the attack to an Islamic State fighter, according to Reuters.
The attacker phoned 911 before attacking and left a message pledging allegiance to iSIS.
"The armed attack that targeted a gay night club in the city of Orlando in the American state of Florida which left over 100 people dead or injured was carried out by an Islamic State fighter," Amaq said in a Reuters report.
The shooter, Omar Mateen, not only called 911 before the shooting and pledged allegiance to ISIS, but also mentioned the Boston Marathon bombers, according to a report on NBC News.
So far the FBI has said it is investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism but is still trying to figure out the exact motivations.
Mateen had come to the attention of the FBI in 2013 and 2014 because of his interest in ISIS video sites.
IN EUROPE, FREE SPEECH IS DISAPPEARING OUT OF FEAR OF ISLAMIC VIOLENT RETALIATION
Freedom of expression is Europe is being choked off out of fear of Islam and European governments are cooperating. Fear of Islam is real and willing submission to the threat of violent Islamic retaliation is shutting down debate. Those who voice criticism of Islam are at grave risk.
Even speaking out against the massive Muslim invasion underway in Europe is risky.
Take six minutes to hear what's happening there. The same silencing through fear of Islamic violence is creeping into America now. It starts with Muslims labeling any criticism of Islam as "racist" (can't be true, Islam isn't a race) or "bigot" or "Islamophobe."
"Islamophobe" supposedly means an unreasonable fear of Islam, when in fact fear of Islam is very reasonable. The relentless march of Islam over almost 1400 years has crushed and wiped out civilizations and an estimated 250 million people.
Europe as the birthplace of Western civilization is being transformed into an Islamic one before our eyes. A few brave men and women are speaking out. The ordinary European is worried and angry at what their governments are allowing. Will they continue to feel angry but helpless, or will they mobilize and begin fighting back?
ISLAM'S 1400-YEAR HISTORY IN 15 MINUTES
What is the greatest threat to America? Is it China or Russia? No, it is Islam. Islam is a political force created by Mohammad almost 1400 years ago with the express aim of conquering the world and subjugating all peoples of the world to Islam. During his lifetime Mohammad led by example, terrorizing villages, murdering, raping and torturing, putting fear in the hearts of all, forcing them to surrender to Islam.
So today there are about 1.5 billion Muslims, about 20% of the world's population. Muslims are taught to believe that everything in the Koran, their holy book, is word for word from Allah as told to Mohammad and is to be obeyed. Mohammad is said to be the perfect example for a Muslim. So all non-Muslims have to take what Mohammad said and did seriously because so many believe what he said is true.
Brigitte Gabriel is the founder and CEO of Act for America, the foremost organization in the United States dedicated to educating Americans to the deadly threat of Islam. Islam is committed to destroying our constitutional republic and replacing it with an Islamic state under Islamic law (Sharia). This will happen if we don't fight to prevent it. There are already 56 or 57 Muslim majority nations in the world where non-Muslims are persecuted and, in many of them, Sharia, the Islamic code for living, which favors Muslims and disadvantages everyone else, is the law.
HOW TO DEFEAT THE JIHAD - LEARN FROM HISTORY
How to Defeat Jihad
David Horowitz's West Coast Retreat, Palos Verdes, CA, April 8-10 2016
Bruce Thornton
What I want to do is remind us that the war we're talking about has been going on for 14 centuries. It started in the 7th Century A.D. when Muslims conquered the Greco-Roman, Jewish-Christian Byzantine Empire. It conquered places like Egypt.
It's interesting that people say Egypt is the largest Arab nation in the Middle East. Why are there Arabs in Egypt? The guys who built the pyramids, the guys who were Pharaohs, they were not Arabs. They were Egyptians. They, the Arabs, were there as conquerors, as the descendants of conquerors, colonizers and imperialists. They conquered Spain. They held it for 7 centuries until they were driven out. They were defeated in 732 at the Battle of Tours by Charles Martel. Fell when they were attempting to move up into France. They continually raided the Rhone River Valley. They occupied Southern Italy and Sicily. They occupied the Balkans.
It wasn't until 1683 that at Vienna, September 11 and 12 -- make what you will of that date -- that they suffered a devastating defeat. And until the rise of modern jihadism they never again challenged Europe. In fact, they began a series of retreats. There's one date that's very interesting and that's 1699. That was the Treaty of Karlowitz. And you say, "Well, what's the big deal about that treaty?" That was the first time a Muslim power ever had to sign a treaty which was to a Muslim disadvantage. In 1798 Napoleon invades Egypt. And the only reason that came to a bad end is the British destroyed his fleet and he abandoned his army. [The Ottoman Empire remained undisturbed --though weakening -- until 1924.]
Ottoman Empire.jpg
1924. Well, what happened in 1924? The dissolution of the Caliphate. When after 9/11, Bin Laden referenced a catastrophe, he wasn't talking about 1948 was he? He said it was 80 years ago. What happened 80 years ago? The dissolution in 1924. The dissolution of the Caliphate.
So in other words, my point is that we are in a war that has been going on for 14 centuries. And the Taliban have a saying, "You have the watch as we have the time." They are in a spiritual -- I'm using that word neutrally -- a spiritual reality in which this century, that century -- Israel's not even 100 years. We can wait. Crusaders were there 200 years, we got rid of them. We are obsessed with the here and now and we think the past doesn't matter. But the past matters very much. And in their mentality this is an ongoing eternal war between the believers and the infidels. And this is where we are at now. We are in a war. A long war.
The second point is what's the nature of the enemy? Now, we all know and I know this group knows because you've had the opportunity to listen to people like Robert Spenser, we know that jihad is a central doctrine of Islamic theology. It is not an aberration. It is not some sort of self-improvement or anything like that. It is a communal obligation of the Muslim people. So we know that. But there's another dimension to the enemy that we have to keep in mind as we go forward in terms of how do we fight this enemy and that is, what's curious about Islam is that it is, as I may, theologized tribalism. It is very tribal. And you can talk about the American Indians. You can talk about the Gauls that Caesar fought, the Germans that Caesar fought, the Britons that the Romans fought.
Any tribal people, they have some similarities. And one of them is the tribe is everything and everybody else is nothing. The tribe is everything and everybody else is nothing.
A lot of tribes don't even have a word for humans. Humans are themselves. Islam follows this. [The tribal Arabs created Islam and made Islam a tribe.] There's the Dar al-Islam, the Dar al-Harb. There's the world of Islam, the believers, and there's the world of war, [everyone else]. That's it.
So they have built in a kind of supremacy as we see in Islam today. Their belief, as Quran 3:110 says, is that they are the best of peoples, that Allah intends to rule the whole world. They really believe that. That's why they're continually at war with the infidels, particularly the infidel West.
There are two other dimensions of tribalism that are, I think, key for understanding this enemy. One is the role of prestige. What I was just talking about, Islam the tribe, that notion that “we” are the important people. We are the ones that deserve to rule the world. It's very different from the ancient Hebrews being the chosen people. They were never told go kill all the gentiles the way the Quran says slay the idolater wherever you find them. That's a huge difference.
But they are universal in their aspirations. And their prestige, their esteem, is huge. For awhile after 9/11 we kept hearing, "Well, you know they feel bad because Europeans have been picking on them and everything." And I think that I wrote at the time that their problem isn't low self-esteem. Their problem is too damn much esteem. Right? They think too highly of themselves. And that needs to be knocked out of them. They need to be humiliated. They need to be convinced that, sorry, in the real world that we live in, you're not so special.
So one of the things that we have to think about is defeating them -- not just defeating them militarily, but humiliating them. Now that's going to sound really kind of archaic and old-fashioned and mean and everything, but you know what, that's exactly what the Allies did in World War II, wasn't it?
The point of unconditional surrender was that they had learned in World War I, when Germany did not surrender there was an armistice signed with its army still in France and Belgium, and they never knew they were defeated. So they spent the next 20 years scheming, long before Hitler came along, to get back to the position that they thought they deserved as the greatest power in continental Europe.
So next time around in World War II they had to be thoroughly defeated and made to know that no, sorry, you're not the super race. Germans do not have a right to rule everybody else. Similar thing happened in Japan and they've been very good global citizens since then.
Now think about it: The Arabs attacked Israel three times, in 1948, 1967, 1973. What price did they pay for those defeats? What Arab capital was bombed, occupied, the way Berlin was occupied? When have they ever paid a price for their aggression? They sided with the Axis powers in World War II. What price did they pay? In Egypt the green shirts, including people like Anwar Sadat, were colluding with the Nazis against the English in the north and then the Americans in the North African campaign. What price did they ever pay for that? They have never, ever in the modern period suffered a mind-concentrating lesson about the stupidity of their beliefs. And then we wonder why they keep coming back and they keep fighting.
So what this means is they have to be defeated militarily, whatever that takes. That means killing a bunch of people. And I know nobody wants to hear that today. Oh, you're just a warmonger; you're a chicken hawk; you're this; you're that. Sorry, that's just the way it's been since humankind were bashing each other's brains out with rocks.
They have to be defeated military. They have to suffer the wages of their aggression. They have to live it every day. Their people have to live it every day until they realize, at least for now, this is a bad idea. We'll still be Muslims, but this whole jihad thing, I think we'll tone it down a little bit. We won't press it too much.
Now what do we [in the West] do? We do the opposite, don't we? Gee, how did we offend you after 9/11? What did we do? And all this nonsense about Sykes-Picot. It's driving me crazy, Sykes-Picot. 1916, Sykes-Picot. Sykes-Picot had nothing to do with what happened in 1918, 1919. But ISIS puts up a billboard in its territory that says, "We will draw our borders, not Sykes-Picot." Sykes-Picot didn't draw the borders of Jordan and Iraq or any of that. That's historical falsity.
So how do we fight this enemy? For one thing, let's get the history straight. Let's get the history of 14 centuries of Islamic aggression and violence against the West straight. Don't let people talk to us about colonialism. There were no European colonies in the Middle East. And I couldn't believe Charles Krauthammer, one of the smartest guys around, was talking about Sykes-Picot and the colonial borders. I threw a shoe at the TV. What are you talking about? That belonged to the Ottoman Empire until 1919. And they're the ones that decided to throw in with the Germans because they thought they could get back their European empire that they had lost in the preceding decades. Has nothing to do with colonialism.
And by the way, don't ever let Islam, [one] of history's most brutal successful imperialist powers, whine to us about imperialism or colonialism. [270 million murdered during their various conquests is one estimate.] Egypt is an Arab colony. North Africa is an Arab colony. Anywhere there's an Arab Muslim outside of the Arabian Peninsula there is a colonist, a descendant of a colonist, of an imperialist or at best an immigrant.
So we shouldn't put up with this false history. First thing, get the history straight. We saw this mistake made by the British in the decades before World War II events -- oh, you know, really, World War I was our fault and we were kind of mean to the Germans. We provoked this huge mistake. Because the Germans were like Muslims back then, [the superior tribe].
Winston Churchill's first two books are great reading and they're a manual of how to fight this war. Not how to defeat jihad, but how do you defeat the enemy that believes in jihad? That's the second one. The first one is a history of the Malakand Field Force. You know, the Brits have India, and where Pakistan and the Afghan border is today, the same people that are the Taliban today, their ancestors were there. Every so often they would start preaching jihad and they'd go on a rampage, and the British had these mobile field forces. They'd send them out there. They'd track them down. They'd kill a bunch. They'd disarm the rest. They'd burn their villages and then they left. They didn't say we're going turn you into a liberal democracy. They didn't say we're going to build schools and have three cups of tea with you, right? They didn't say we're going to liberate your women or convert you to Christianity. No. They didn't say we will ever leave. They didn't put a date certain on it. Everybody knew if you do this again we will be back again. And if you do this forever we will be back forever. Because they understood the nature of the enemy.
And the second, the River War, which is a brilliant book by the way. And as you know, in 1885 a guy called the Mahdi -- now you know from Shia Islam the Mahdi is the messianic figure that's going to usher in, I don't know what he's going to usher in, but anyway. One of these rose up in Khartoum, built a huge army, started attacking the expatriates there, the Europeans. And the famous Charles Chinese Gordon, British general, was there overseeing their evacuation. They overran Khartoum and they killed him in 1885.
It took 13 years, 1898, and the British put together a huge expeditionary force. Churchill got himself to go -- Kitchener didn't want to have anything to do with him because he knew he was a publicity hound; he used his mother's influence. And the big battle at Omdurman near Khartoum took place, and it was a huge slaughter.
And Kitchener went to the tomb of the Mahdi -- he had died before then -- broke the tomb open, dragged the body out and he threw it into the Nile. See, he understood you humiliate and you damage their prestige and you say, if I may quote Bin Laden, "We're the strong horse and you're the weak horse." There was nothing that they wanted there in Sudan. They didn't want to colonize it. There was no oil. There was nothing there they wanted. They turned around and they went back home.
If we don't start getting that mentality, if we keep thinking that we can bribe or negotiate or sweet talk or understand or tell them how wonderful their religion is and how much we love it and do all the things that [we are currently doing], which are absolutely wrong things to do, then if you say, "How to defeat the jihad?" we're not going to defeat jihad. It will be incremental. It will be insidious and at one point in the near future we're going to wake up and we're not going to recognize the country we're in.
SPEAK UP AGAINST ISLAMIC SUPREMACISM -- OR LOSE YOUR FUTURE.
Leaders in the Western World, including President Obama, are not telling people the truth about the war Islam is waging against the entire non-Muslim world. Indeed, they try to silence all criticism or questions about Islam - Islamophobia or racism is the cry whenever someone speaks up about the danger we are in. Our leaders are not protecting ourselves from those who wish to override the Constitution with Islamic law (Sharia). Instead, they silence all talk about Islam and its aims and its methods of waging global jihad.
The Islamic enemies of freedom are not only fighting against our way of life on the battlefields, but also in this country by infiltrating our governments, our media, our neighborhoods, a form of jihad called "stealth jihad." Their goal is the same goal as that of ISIS, making the U.S. (and Europe) Islamic. Europe is experiencing right now jihad by invasion, as hundreds of thousands of fighting age males pour into Europe as "refugees." Why are Europe's leaders allowing their civilization to be strangled and killed in this way?
We and the Europeans are supposed to shut up and take it. "It"' is the Islamization of Europe and the U.S.
"WHY DO THEY HATE US?" BECAUSE THEY ARE BROUGHT UP TO.
Why Do So Many Ask “Why Do They Hate Us?”
BY HUGH FITZGERALD
“So many times I passed by these locations. Why do they hate us so much?” asked Franziska Brantner, a German Green MP and former member of the European Parliament, on Twitter (about the attacks in Brussels).
Why hate us.jpg
Do you remember Michael Scheuer, that obsessively anti-Israel former “bin Laden desk” expert at the C.I.A., who used to declare that “they hate us [America] because of our policies in supporting Israel and propping up the Al-Saud and invading Iraq”?
Or others who said that “they hate us because of our intervention in Libya”? Or still others who said “they hate us because we supported (!) Assad” or “we supported the Houthis in Yemen” or “we supported Mubarak” or “we abandoned Mubarak”? Or those who said “they hate us because ….(fill in your favorite reason here – anything at all will do, as long as you don’t mention Islam).
In a longer list of answers to “why they hate us,” Scheuer provided a half-dozen reasons:
• U.S. support for apostate, corrupt, and tyrannical Muslim governments.
• U.S. and other Western troops on the Arabian Peninsula.
• U.S. support for Israel that keeps Palestinians in the Israelis’ thrall.
• U.S. pressure on Arab energy producers to keep oil prices low.
• U.S. occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.
• U.S. support for Russia, India, and China against their Muslim militants.
This implausible laundry list becomes even more comical if the “U.S.” is replaced by “Belgium,” for any of Scheuer’s reasons – i.e., there never was a Belgian “occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan,” nor Belgian “troops on the Arabian peninsula,” nor any Belgian “pressure on Arab energy producers,” and so on.
And if one were to try to explain Muslim terrorist attacks outside the West, say in India or the Philippines, the inadequacy of his “reasons” becomes still more apparent — try substituting the “Philippines” or “Nigeria” for the “U.S.” and then read that list out loud.
And of course Scheuer has a lot of company. Those who still ask that “why do they hate us so much?” question have one thing in common: they will never accept the perfectly obvious answer – “they hate us because we are not Muslims, and will not submit to Islam” – the answer that has been true for some 1350 years.
This is the hate that we find throughout the Qur’an and Sunnah, a hate that does not need any particular prompting to exist, and that is just as adamantly directed against the most sober Amish horse-and-buggy farmer or Orthodox Jew walking to shul as it is against the most debauched admirer of Miley Cyrus or the Kardashian crew.
“They hate us so much” because we are Infidels who have not yet succumbed, either by “reverting” to Islam, or by agreeing to be treated as dhimmis, paying Muslims for the privilege of staying alive while being allowed to observe our own faith, if we qualify as “People of the Book” (Christians and Jews).
“Why do they hate us so much?”
The bombs went off in Brussels as they had previously in Paris and Madrid and Moscow and London, and dozens of other cities around the world, many of them outside the West (in India, the Philippines, Thailand, Burma, Mali, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Sudan).
That omnidirectional hatred that prompted all those bombs and guns is drummed into Muslims from an early age, in the canonical texts that matter. Not every last Muslim may end up subscribing to that hate, but enough of them do so that it is not unreasonable to conclude that “they hate us” because that’s what they are taught to do. (bolding added.)
Islam is on the march in Europe. The political and media elites whose duty it is to protect and instruct the peoples of Europe have failed those to whom they owed that responsibility.
Instead, they have allowed what by now must surely be many millions of Muslims to settle deep within Europe, behind what Muslims themselves are taught to regard as enemy lines, the lines of Dar al-Harb, and the European elites just don’t know how to talk about the problem, where to begin.
Can someone who has been part of the political class, in and out of power during the last few dismal decades, in any European country, dare now to admit that “they hate us, I finally realize, because we are Infidels — and I helped let them in”? Don’t be silly.
UNDERSTANDING JIHAD
To be sure, there are peaceful Muslims, but Islam itself is not a "religion of peace," as too many politicians from George Bush and Barack Obama keep telling us. It is a religion of war. Its message to all of its believers is to make war against the rest of mankind until Islam rules the world.
How explain that some Muslims are murderous jihadists and many (possibly most) do not support the commands of the Mohammad's Allah?
This short (five minutes) video by David Woods explains the Jihad Triangle, the three stages a Muslim goes through to become a killer for Allah.
EUROPE IS LOSING, ISLAM IS WINNING, BUT WILL THE U.S. BE ABLE TO DEFEAT AN ISLAMIC TAKEOVER?
Is the U.S. any better prepared to fight an ideological war with Islam than Europe is now? In centuries past European men of faith rallied to defeat Islamic armies from Tours in 732 to Vienna in 1683, but now Europeans are waving the forces of Islam into their countries. What is different? Would the same happen here?
William Kilpatrick makes this prescient observation:
"The ideological struggle with Islam is in large part a spiritual struggle. It will be won by those with the deepest faith and strongest convictions. In other words, it’s the kind of struggle that many Europeans and Americans are ill-prepared for.
While the mosques and Islamic schools have been delivering a purpose-driven message about Islam’s manifest destiny, multiculturalist educators in the West have done everything they can to undermine their student’s cultural foundations. According to multiculturalists, the worst crime is to deprive native peoples of their culture, yet all their efforts have been aimed at depriving Western students of their own multi-millennium cultural inheritance. (bold added)"
It's not only that secularists have been so successful at driving God out of the public square, but also that multiculturalists (e.g., Howard Zinn, "A People's History of the United States") have taught generations to be ashamed of our heritage. The lesson is "We have a culture no better than any other and certainly not worth fighting for."
Brussels attack.jpg
A recent New York Times article revealed that 90 percent of teens in the predominantly Muslim districts of Molenbeek and Schaerbeek think of the Brussels terrorists as heroes. The main thing to notice here is not that these youths have warped values (which they do), but that their heroes are people who are willing to die for what they believe. Which means that some of these young people are likely willing to die for the same beliefs.
Meanwhile, a test given to thirteen-year-olds in an Italian middle school revealed that 90 percent of them would convert to Islam if the Islamic State showed up at their door. Not much hero material there. A willingness to fight and die for one’s beliefs is apparently an alien concept for many young Italians. If they’ve heard of the 800 martyrs of Otranto, they must wonder why they all didn’t just convert. That would have been the sensible thing to do.
In a contest of wills, who seems more likely to prevail? The young Muslims in Brussels or the young “whatevers” in Italy? I used the term “whatevers” because so many young people in the West are conditioned to go in whatever direction the tide is flowing. The two students in the class of twenty-five who went against the tide—who refused to consider conversion—were from devout Catholic families.
The ideological struggle with Islam is in large part a spiritual struggle. It will be won by those with the deepest faith and strongest convictions. In other words, it’s the kind of struggle that many Europeans and Americans are ill-prepared for.
LET'S TAKE OVER EUROPE AND THE U.S. FOR OUR CALIPHATE
Iranian mobs chant "Death to America" and Obama and Kerry say they don't mean it.
At a "Caliphate" conference in Turkey's capital city, the call was to extend the Caliphate to include Europe and the U.S.
Of course, they don't mean it, either.
What's frustrating about all this is that the West has the strength to end Islamic terrorism once and for all. It's the will that's lacking. Raymond Ibrahim explains:
Is the West at fault for terrorism? by Bob Taylor - Apr 10, 2016
Middle East analyst Ibrahim says the way to defeat Islam is an all out uprising against Islamic jihad which he says will easily sweep extremism back into the dustbin of history.
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 9, 2016 – When it comes to understanding Islamic extremism, jihad and Muslim thinking, you can count on Middle East analyst Raymond Ibrahim to have an interesting take on the subject.
Ibrahim says he never writes about the latest terrorist attacks anywhere in the world because there is no need. “What can one add when a symptom of the root cause he has long warned against occurs other than ‘told you so’?” he asks.
As Ibrahim sees it, the Islamic world is weak when it comes to mounting a credible threat against the West. He believes that Islamic terror could easily be halted if the West were not so “scared” to respond adequately.
“For approximately one thousand years, the Islamic world was the scourge of the West. Today’s history books may refer to those who terrorized Christian Europe as Arabs, Saracens, Moors, Ottomans, Turks, Mongols, or Tatars —but all were operating under the same banner of jihad that the Islamic State is operating under,” writes Ibrahim.
Thus what we are witnessing today is nothing new. It has been around as long as Islam.
With that in mind, Ibrahim claims the Islamists gain their strength from Western thinking when we fail to recognize what is staring us directly in the face. Key among the apologists is President Barack Obama because he is the leader of the free world. Add in Francois Hollande, Angela Merkel and David Cameron, and you have a powerful consortium of Western thinking that gives Islamic jihad free rein to operate throughout the world.
Ibrahim says the West “stifles… examination of Muslim doctrine and history; welcome(s) hundreds of thousands of Muslim migrants while knowing that some are jihadi operative and many are simply ‘radical’; who work to overthrow secular Arab dictators in the name of ‘democracy’ and ‘freedom,’ only to uncork the jihad suppressed by the autocrats (the Islamic State’s territory consists of lands that were ‘liberated’ in Iraq, and Syria by the U.S. and its allies.)”
Dr. Michael Welner: An insightful analysis of Islamic terror
It has been proven time and again that terrorism is incapable of dealing with a response through strength. There is no better example than when the Ottoman Turks were defeated at the gates of Vienna in 1683.
The victory was so important that Osama bin Laden used the Sept. 11 anniversary as a “symbolic” reminder to the West when the twin towers crumbled to the ground in 2001.
The fact that Islamic extremism was “relatively quiet” for more than 300 years afterwards should be enough of a message to Western leaders that Islamic bluster can be defeated through strength.
That does not mean it will be easy or without sacrifice, but it does mean it is better than allowing terrorism free access to the world in our current approach to the situation.
Ibrahim reminds us that the Western leaders mentioned above “insist that Islam is innocent of violence and push for Muslim immigration – because they embody a worldview that is normative in the West.”
It is here that Ibrahim makes his knockout punch when he reminds us, and Barack Obama, that he “did not come to power through a coup but that he was voted in – twice. This indicates that Obama and the majority of voting Americans have a shared, and erroneous, worldview. He may be cynically exploiting this worldview, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s because this warped worldview is mainstream that he can exploit it in the first place.”
Ibrahim reminds us that Obama told his own constituents to “get off their high horse” about Islamism. He then dredged up age-old references to the Crusades and the Inquisition, both of which have been distorted by liberal thinking and political correctness, which play directly into the hands of Islamic “victimization.”
Sadly, Barack Obama succeeds in the fact that many, if not most, Americans have little interest in understanding the misrepresentations of Christian, Jewish and Islamic history.
Ibrahim’s solution is revolution, an all-out uprising against Islamic jihad that he says will easily sweep extremism back into the dustbin of history. “For the fact remains: Islam is terrorizing the world, not because it can, but because the West allows it to.”
WHAT BRITISH MUSLIMS REALLY THINK
British elites for decades down to the present have peddled the myth of Islam as a Religion of Peace and that Muslims were integrating into British society without any problems.
One of the propagators of the myth black liberal Trevor Phillips recently conducted a survey of British Muslims, not by phone, but face to face. The disturbing results were published on British television in a 45-minute program entitled, "What British Muslims Really Think."
The myths of the Religion of Peace and successful integration were destroyed.
Here are the stats to prove it: 52 per cent of Britain’s three million Muslims think homosexuality should be illegal; 39 per cent think a woman should always obey her husband; 18 per cent sympathise with people who take part in violence against those who mock the Prophet; 4 per cent — that equates to about 100,000 Muslims — have ‘sympathy for people who take part in suicide bombing to fight injustice’. Oh, and if any of them knew someone was involved in supporting terrorism in Syria, just one in three would report it to the police. The other two million, then, would keep schtum [quiet].
THE MYTH OF THE TINY VIOLENT MUSLIM MINORITY
The brilliant young journalist Ben Shapiro addresses the notion that only a tiny percentage of Muslims are inclined to violence.
What is constantly ignored is that violence against all non-believers is celebrated in the Koran and urged upon all believers to commit.
It is true that many Muslims have been ignorant of the words in their language of what the Koran says, since many learned to recite it from memory in Arabic and never learned what the Koran really says. Instead, if they -- and we -- were and are lucky, they have attended mosques preaching love and peace with their neighbors.
Today, though, with the wide availability of the internet, Muslims can read the Koran and the hadiths (words and actions of Mohammad) and get to know exactly what the "holy book" says and what Mohammad commanded. "Kill, kill, kill" until Islam is universal in the world.
How many now believe this is their mission and is what Allah wants them to do? If they believe this message came from Allah and not Mohammad, who many believe wrote the Koran himself, then their motivation is "divine," however immoral and insane to non-believers in Allah that is.
Is there a god who wants his creatures endlessly slaughtered? Since Muslims believe in predestination and believe that Allah controls every action in the universe, that means that their god knows in advance who is going to kill and who is to be killed. Does that make sense?
Hear what Ben Shapiro has to say.
One commentator had this to say after viewing Shapiro's video:
I used to be an Islam apologist, then I read the Quran. It's one one of the most hateful works you could possibly imagine.
Opposing Islam is not racist. Islam is not a race, it's an ideology. One that is completely against everything humane in the world. It's hard for people in America and Europe to ban it because we are so used to tolerance and can't imagine an ideology that so evil being so persuasive and widespread. We should be tolerant of other faiths, but not one that disregards tolerance for itself, but refuses to be tolerant of anything outside their faith.
GERMANY'S SELF DESTRUCTION A "HORRIFYING EXAMPLE" FOR THE REST OF US
A Parable for Germany
by David P. Goldman January 18, 2016 at 4:00 am
http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/7221/germanyparable
Dying Germany has only one item on its bucket list, and that is redemption. The Germans cannot seek redemption from the crimes of their grandparents because they do not understand what motivated them to do such terrible things.
For Merkel and most of Germany's elite, the appearance on Germany's threshold of millions of Muslim refugees is a final chance at redemption, an opportunity for Germany to redeem itself from the crimes of its past through a transcendent act of selflessness.
Denke ich an Deutschland in der Nacht Dann bin ich um den Schlaf gebracht
If I think of Germany in the night It kills my sleep.
- Heinrich Heine.
Once there was an old man who in his youth committed a terrible crime, the murder of many innocents. He no longer could remember what drove him to do this; he tried not to think about it, and his memories came to mind unwillingly and infrequently. Rage and guilt had faded long ago into a vague residue of disgust. He worked hard and found some distraction in the monotony of daily tasks. He sought diversion in tasteless entertainment; he followed football, looked at pornography, watched the dubbed version of American comedies, and took vacations at the beach.
He had a child but no grandchildren; his child knew that he once did unforgivable things, but did not want to know what they were, and the old man did not want to tell him. The old crime hung like a black curtain between them.
The old man could feel that he did not have long to live. Ahead of him he saw only days clouded with boredom, illuminated only by the occasional flash of regret. He let the days come and go one at a time until their count might come to an end, for he did not know any other way to live. Because he had no ties to life, he had no way to prepare for death.
One day the old man met a street urchin and on an impulse invited him back to his apartment. He fed the strange boy and gave him a place to sleep. The next morning the old man bought the urchin new clothes, and gave him things -- a smartphone, a video-game system, a football jersey. The street kid made himself at home and said little.
Before long, the old man noticed that things had gone missing. A watch that belonged to his father disappeared from a drawer. A silver souvenir goblet no longer stood in the cupboard. Even worse, he came home to find things broken with apparent intent. The remains of a glass pitcher lay in shards on the kitchen floor. The bathroom mirror was cracked. A sofa cushion was slashed.
At length, the old man confronted the boy: "I have only done you good. Why do you do this to me?" The boy laughed at the old man, then punched him. The old man lay on the floor, bleeding from his nose and lips. Perhaps he should call the police? He thought: "No, I will not call the police. What does it matter? I will die soon anyway. Perhaps some good will come of it." The prospect of death robs us of rationality, especially if we perceive that our life has gone wrong.
* * *
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Time Magazine's Person of the Year for 2015, was the model of rationality, finding resources to backstop Germany's near-bankrupt southern neighbors during the great European debt crisis of 2012, defusing the Ukraine crisis after the Maidan coup and the Russian takeover of Crimea, balancing Atlantic commitments and European integration, while presiding over Europe's only successful major economy. Merkel was rational, that is, until she wasn't.
Admitting 1.2 million Muslim refugees in 2015 and perhaps another million in 2016, and sticking to her guns after the organized mass sexual abuse perpetrated by migrants in Cologne and other German cities on New Year's Eve, was an act of existential despair, not a rational act. What explains this seemingly sudden transformation?
Chancellor Merkel, it seems clear, acted on an impulse that was as sudden as it was irresistible. As the global refugee count passed the 60 million mark last year, Germany did nothing. Between January 1, 2014 and June 30, 2014, fewer than 1000 newspaper stories appeared in the German-language media with the word Flüchtlinge (refugees) -- mostly about boat disasters in the Mediterranean.
A January 2, 2014 story in the Berliner Morgenpost noted that the German government planned for 6,000 refugees in the course of the year. During the second half of the year, more than a quarter of a million stories appeared. Only when the refugee crisis threatened to create a humanitarian disaster on Germany's borders did the Merkel government act.
This kind of impulsiveness begs explanation. Since the Second World War, Germans have preferred not to think about their past, because it is too horrible to contemplate. The German school system dutifully teaches about the Holocaust and German cities dutifully memorialize the murdered Jews; the walls of Frankfurt's old Jewish cemetery are covered with small bronze plaques for every Jew deported from the city. "They will never forgive us for Auschwitz," quipped the Austrian-Israeli psychiatrist Zvi Rix, and Germans often attempt to relativize the crimes of National Socialism by attributing similar things to the Jews. 54% of Germans under the age of 29 have a negative opinion of Israel, according to a January 2015 poll by the Bertelsmann Institute.
Two faces of Merkel.jpg
Germans work hard and immerse themselves in private life: in hobbies, vacations, and sports. But they do not have children, to a great extent because they do not like themselves. Germany is dying. It can not only foresee, but calculate with a reasonable degree of accuracy, the point at which so few Germans will inhabit the lands between the Rhine and the Oder that it will be as meaningless to speak of Germans as it is to speak of Etruscans or the people of Thrace. At 1.3 children per woman, Germany's population of young people (0 to 19 years) and working-age adults (20 to 64 years) will halve by the end of the present century.
Germany pop. decline.jpg
Dying Germany has only one item on its bucket list, and that is redemption. The Germans cannot seek redemption from the crimes of their grandparents because they do not understand what motivated them to do such terrible things. Their great-grandparents during World War I believed in the superiority of German culture, and their grandparents during World War II believed in the superiority of the Aryan race. Today's Germans can only believe that no culture and no race has any claim to precedence, and that all the world's cultures have equal value.
Israel's unabashed nationalism horrifies them, because National Socialism's claim to the status of "master race" was a Satanic parody of the Election of Israel. Jewish strength and success, in German eyes, are an uncomfortable reminder of the Nazis' perversion of the biblical idea of Chosenness.
For Merkel and most of Germany's elite, the appearance on Germany's threshold of millions of Muslim refugees is a final chance at redemption, an opportunity for Germany to redeem itself from the crimes of its past through a transcendent act of selflessness. The Germans turned away from self-sacrifice for the Fatherland to the extreme of self-absorption. Germany became materialistic, irreligious, and Philistine. But self-absorption was a poor distraction from the sense of horror that lingered after the Second World War.
The Nazis used terror and horror -- Schrecken und Entzsetzen (lit. "dislodgement") to bind the German people to their leadership. The prospect of new horrors arising not from a clash of civilization, but from internal clashes within Muslim civilization, is too much for the Germans to bear, because it recalls the horrors of the past war.
That is why Germans tumbled headlong into their decision to admit millions of Muslim refugees only when the horrors of war presented themselves on Germany's own doorstep. Until the flood of refugees reached Central Europe last summer, Germany showed little interest in their problems. As noted, Germany had prepared to admit only 6,000 refugees in 2015. Not until September, after a news photo of a drowned Kurdish boy went viral, and a dozen decomposing bodies were found in an abandoned truck in Austria, did Merkel declare, "Wir schaffen es." ["We can do it."] It is also why Germany will not reverse this policy no matter what sort of crimes the refugees commit.
Mrs. Merkel's rationality crumbles before the horrific prospect of human suffering. Germany's elites hope that one last, great national valedictory act will open the prospect of redemption.
Ordinary Germans, to be sure, do not like to be assaulted sexually by organized mobs, or subjected to other social pathologies that the refugees bring with them. Despite some objections, including some very vocal ones, Germans nonetheless will do what the Obrigkeit [Authority] tells them, just as they always have done.
Sadly, Germany is looking for redemption in all the wrong places. Its obsession with helping the refugees is not a mistake or a misjudgment, but an existential impulse so powerful that all the evidence in the world of the baleful effects of this policy will not outweigh it. There is no dissuading the Germans from hastening their own destruction. They can only stand as a terrifying example for the rest of us.
IS ISLAM, A POLITICAL MOVEMENT, COMPATIBLE WITH WESTERN CIVILIZATION?
The answer to the question is,"No."
This chilling ten minute interview with Mullah Krekar in Norway tells you all you need to know about what we are facing with the expansion of Islam from the Middle East into the West -- not only Europe, but the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Islam is a political movement seeking to dominate peoples, lands and culture wherever it can. It's Islam's way and it will impose its way of life despite the laws of the western nations it invades. Non-Muslims are inferior beings who are to be converted to Islam, made to live in humiliation and pay an onerous tax (only if they are People of the Book) or killed.
It is a war and Islam is winning because the leaders of the West refuse to acknowledge it for what it is because they don't have the will and the guts to face up to the threat.
The war is the same war begun 400 years ago by Muhammad to spread the power of Islam by whatever means available -- force, deceit, mass immigration and outbreeding the natives. Murder, rape, sex slavery are not just weapons of war, but what Muslims practice when they are in control.
In the wars fought by Islam over the centuries it is estimated that Muslims have killed some 280 million people, 80 million in their conquest of India alone.
The interview with Mullah Krekar gives you an idea of how things would be with Islam in charge.
Is it any wonder that the Czech president says it's "practically impossible to integrate Muslims into Western Europe"?
We have to take a stand against the Islamic encroachment on our rights and not yield an inch, as Mark Steyn rightly points out in this video (10 minutes). The intimidation starts with free speech, as it did with the Muhammad cartoons published in Denmark. Islam's totalitarian views are now being self-imposed by the likes of the New York Times and Yale University.
MULTICULTURALISM AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS ARE DESTROYING WESTERN CIVILIZATION.
Multiculturalism -- all cultures are of equal value -- and political correctness have been destructive of our civilization. When we are forced to keep silent about our perceived problems with Islam (which for some reason is to be exempt from criticism, despite its obvious brutishness and inferiority in so many measures), the West suffers.
So the self-hating Leftist elites running European governments seek to atone for their presumed oppressive colonial sins by opening the doors to the alien culture Islam while pretending it's just as good as theirs, despite the horrible reality we now see every day.
